IPL 2019 Auction As It Happens- Updates, Highlights & Live Feeds

IPL players auction for IPL season 2019 will start at 3:30 pm in Jaipur. According to IPL’s official wensite, as many as 351 players will go under the hammer. The auction is referred as mini auction because only 70 players will be able to make to the teams. The cash-rich tournament is likely to be held in March next year in view of the general election and ICC World Cup schedule.

All eight teams — Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals (RR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will participate in the auction to pick the best ones.

INR 2 crore is the highest base price and 9 overseas players have opted for the highest bracket.

IPL Auction 2019 Live Updates:

It’s a wrap for the 2019 IPL Auction. Uncapped Varun Chakaravarthy and left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat fetched highest price today at Rs 8.4 crore each. England’s Sam Curran was the costliest overseas buy at Rs 7.2 crore. 60 out of 70 slots available are filled during the auction in Jaipur.

Kings XI Punjab added 13 players- Varun Chakaravarthy, Sam Curran, Mohammed Shami, Prabhsimran Singh, Nicolas Pooran, Moises Henriques, Hardus Viljoen, Darshan Nalkande, Sarfaraz Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Agnivesh Ayachi, Harpreet Brar & Murugan Ashwin.

SRH bought three players: Jonny Bairstow, Wriddhiman Saha & Martin Guptill.

RCB added nine players today: Shivam Dube, Shimron Hetmyer, Akshdeep Nath, Prayas Barman, Himmat Singh, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Heinrich Klaasen, Devdutt Padikkal & Milind Kumar.

Rajasthan Royals bought nine players- Jaydev Unadkat, Varun Aaron, Oshane Thomas, Ashton Turner, Liam Livingstone, Shashank Singh, Riyan Parag, Manan Vohra & Shubham Ranjane.

Mumbai Indians grabbed six players- Barinder Singh Sran, Lasith Malinga, Yuvraj Singh, Anmolpreet Singh, Pankaj Jaswal, & Rasikh Dar.

KKR added eight players to their squad- Carlos Brathwaite, Lockie Ferguson, Joe Denly, Harry Gurney, Nikhil Naik, Shrikant Mundhe, Prithvi Raj Yarra & Anrich Nortje.

Delhi Capitals bought 10 players today. Colin Ingram, Axar Patel, Hanuma Vihari, Sherfane Rutherford, Ishant Sharma, Keemo Paul, Jalaj Saxena, Ankush Bains, Nathu Singh & Bandaru Ayyappa are in the Capitals now.
