Akshay Kumar is not just Khiladi Kumar but also has an exemplary humanitarian side. When the plight of the drought hit farmers in Maharashtra was known to him, he donated a sum of Rs. 90 lakhs to them. He has also always extended his helping hand to Indian Army Jawans.
When a 90s film producer was dying in dire need of a kidney, there was no one who could come to his aid. Reportedly, Shrivastava has worked in over 250 Bollywood projects. But now, in this hour of need, Akshay Kumar came to his rescue.
Ravi Shrivastava was the first producer who offered the movie Dwarpaal to Akshay during his days of struggle in the film industry. Although that movie was shelved, Shrivastava helped Akshay land his debut movie Saugandh in 1991. Once a known name amongst film folks, Shrivastava lives in a state of utter poverty and is left with no one at home to take care of him as his wife is no more.
After being contacted by a follower on Twitter that addressed an article on the ailing producer, Khiladi Kumar tweeted an assuring response saying, “Yes sir, my team has reached out to him…Already taken care of.” The total cost of the kidney transplant is expected around 15-17 lakhs.
We hope this kind act encourages other celebrities to also take the plunge into charity and contributing to the society. Do some good & inspire someone today!
