These Emmy 2017 Moments Were More Talked About Than The Awards

The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards witnessed a clear domination by women. From Stephen Colbert’s opening monologue onward to Alec Baldwin receiving an award for his portrayal on Saturday Night Live. With a diverse pool of nominees and winners, there were many firsts that happened. But as always, the moments you did not see made for more talks.

Priyanka Chopra walked the red carpet and stunned in an encrusted white feathered gown from Balmain.

Ben Affleck stole all the thunder though by just being present as the plus-one of Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus. SNL was on the receiving end of more than a dozen nominations and six wins at the Emmys. Affleck was seen supporting his woman.

Donald Glover and Lena Waithe both made history with their wins; Mr. Glover is the first African-American to win in the best comedy series director category, for “Atlanta” and Ms. Waithe is the first African-American woman to win in the best comedy series writer category.

Nicole Kidman stole a kiss from husband Keith Urban after winning an award for her show “Big Little Lies”.
