Filmfare Awards 2018 Gives Thumbs Down To Mainstream Hindi Cinema

The Hindi film industry came together to celebrate the best of Bollywood in the year 2017 at 63 rd Jio Filmfare Awards 2018. The starry night was hosted by Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan, and his good friend and filmmaker Karan Johar.

While many mainstream movies of superstars were called hits last year, Filmfare Awards gave a major snub to them to honor the much deserving medium to low budget films that garnered more attention than the star backed movies. It was clearly the year of Rajkumar Rao and the atypical content, evidently the taste of Hindi cinema lovers is changing.
